Wynne Apothecary is a family-owned and -operated business that has served the community of Wynne, AR, for 50 years. The business was established in 1964 by Mr. Joe Manning to provide service and convenience to patients at the new medical clinics located on Falls Boulevard.
In 1976, Wynne Apothecary moved into the Jacobs Clinic. Ms. Debbie Smith joined the staff, and in 1979, Gene Boeckmann began working after graduating from pharmacy school. Upon Mr. Manning’s passing in 1985, Gene purchased Wynne Apothecary. Gene carried on the pharmacy traditions and has strived to provide the highest quality and cost-effective care for the customers.
On January 1, 2022, Wynne Apothecary had another transition with ownership. Gene sold the pharmacy to his daughter, Stacy Boeckmann Cooper, to carry on the Wynne Apothecary traditions. After much prayer and planning, Wynne Apothecary moved from its location at Jacobs Clinic to 500 Falls Blvd N, which was the old Regions Bank building. The new location has more space and three drive-through lanes to service its customers.
Wynne Apothecary continues to grow and excel by meeting the changing needs of our customers and continuing to deliver the same high standard of customer service. At our pharmacy, we believe in a holistic approach to healthcare. Natural botanicals, vitamins and herbs can play a key role in preventing many health problems, as well as complementing traditional drug therapies. Gene Boeckmann was the previous owner of Wynne Apothecary until 2022 when he sold the store to his daughter, Stacy Cooper. Gene is a native of Wynne, where he is 1 of 12 children. Gene graduated from Arkansas State University and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 1979. He has worked at Wynne Apothecary since 1979. Gene is married to Beth Boeckmann, and they have 3 children and 7 grandchildren. In his free time, Gene enjoys playing golf, traveling, and spending time with family.
